New this Issue:WOW! Spring finally came and by the time everyone is reading this HAPPY SUMMER! Welcome to the June/July issue of Inner Tapestry, "The Art of Simplicity." This is the first issue of our seventh year of publication HAPPY ANNIVERSARY EVERYONE!We would like to thank all of you for your continued support and partnership of creating the community that we all desire to experience in the world. We lovingly appreciate all of you as our partners in this journey. We are consistently being exposed to new and different ways of bringing more of our self-expression into healing work as a community. We are grateful for the opportunity to share this growth of everyone as we change and evolve in our lives to be a vehicle in sharing this with others. We have some very talented people once again coming together for this issue. We have a spotlight on children and adults with Autism and ADD. In our articles there are some very interesting perspectives on what we have labelled as a "condition" and our relationship to ourselves, being in relationship to these ways of being. I also had been asked to publish a special letter on page 39 and we welcome your perspectives. We have also added new practitioners to our Directory of Resources and great upcoming events for the summer months. We hope that you will take the opportunity to attend things like the summer SolarFest at Forget-Me-Not Farm in Timouth, VT. This seems like Vermont's sister event to the Common Ground Fair in Maine. Both, definitely worth attending, in my book. The New England Holistic Practitioners and Energy Workers Convention will be in Nashua this July at the Holiday Inn bringing practitioners together to share and connect with classes and exhibits extending to a fair/expo open to the community on Sunday. This issue brings forth an exceptionally creative array of offerings from Crystal Skull Training to various Women's retreats in many locations. You can find more information in the display ads and in the calendar of events. I heard from the wind and water that there maybe a trip to swim with the dolphins in February... Stay tuned. We are excited for two of our community "family" members with expanding growth in their lives. Meg Wolff has ask that her column be handed off due to growing family needs and new business prospects. Helen Warren has expanded her practice. We are also grateful for her continued support during this transition and that this aspect of her life is expanding and growing, yeah! So if anyone knows of anyone looking to express him or herself in a healthy living column, not necessarily just cooking, and or helping with advertising for the journal please let us know. We all have been feeling the need to be more present in our lives. There is much continuing to shift in the world and I feel that we can embrace those shifts in a gentle and loving way. The people who come together to bring you this journal can help in just that way. They can support the process of a life in transition, to allow us to access more of who we are and bring that out into the world. We do create our reality... What is the reality that we wish to experience? Will we find within ourselves the desire to move into a more expansive open way of being, when we feel the world closing in on itself with worry and concern? The answer is YES! If we are willing to be responsible to ourselves. But the key is that an expansive, open way of being has one crucial component, sharing, and that consists of being in relationship to another. Let's face it, there are just too many of us here at the same time for it to be coincidence or for us to live alone. Thank you all for the opportunity to share, laugh, love, cry and be in community with all of you. |
