Article Submission Guidelines
The editor looks to publish articles that seek to provide a resource for people in their discovery and celebration of holistic health, natural living, and spiritual wisdom and insight — articles that are inspiring, informative and promote alternative healing, wellness, and wholeness as well as support cultural, environmental, and educational needs. Promoting conscious choices that lead to a higher quality of life, unity within one’s self and community, and a greater experience of spirit is our mission! The Inner Tapestry themes published in the front pages of the journal, can be used as guides to inspire the articles written and submitted for review.
Some Things to Consider
Inner Tapestry publishes articles that present to the reader mainly educational, essay-like, and informative material presented in a succinct, scholarly fashion, void of sentimentalism and nostalgia. Written from an objective viewpoint, using "we, or one" rather than "I", (this doesn't mean a touch of the personal can't fit in, it just means please be aware of the intention behind including it). Inner Tapestry does not publish work that is written from a very personal, anecdotal, narrative perspective, highlighting a single person's subjective account of their individual journey, life story, highlights of their business practice etc. It's important the writing not appear as advertising or promoting the writer's business practice in any way (the urge to plug one's business is understandable, but should be left for the bio alone).
Only short excerpts from poems, personal, or historical, are allowed, please include reference to the author and the publisher.
One last thing, Inner Tapestry wishes to not represent any one particular religion or spirituality and so appreciates articles that veer away from highlighting any one particular god, guru, religion, or group as the "one-world teacher", or exclusive and sectarian... (better to write about how key figures embrace all spiritual beings as equal and relevant for the awakening of the spirit and growth of the soul.) Nevertheless, the editor favors articles based on Eastern and Western esoteric religions and alternative traditions over the more conventional, traditional systems and beliefs.
- Article submissions sent for review may or may not be published, if accepted, space will be reserved for an upcoming issue in which the article suits a particular journal's theme.
- Deadline for submissions is two months prior to the next issue due out. Inner Tapestry is published bi-monthly: Oct/Nov, Dec/Jan etc.
